All Illinois school board members must receive training regarding the Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/1.05), professional development leadership training (105 ILCS 5/10-16a) and the Performance Evaluation Reform Act – PERA (105 ILCS 5/24-16.5). This training includes overviews of education and labor law, financial oversight and accountability, freedom of information and open meetings requirements and fiduciary responsibilities. All seven board members have completed this training.

The Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) is a voluntary organization of local boards of education dedicated to strengthening the Illinois public schools through local citizen control. Although not part of State government, IASB is organized by member school boards as a private not-for-profit corporation under authority granted by Article 23 of the School Code. Students are the focus of all we do at Norridge School District 80.
The student centered classroom will promote an independent, collaborative, and
motivated learning environment. Our administrators, teachers, and staff will set
high standards in a safe, nurturing, and positive school environment. Our
graduates will be prepared to take on their future with confidence.
The District 80 Board of Education holds its regularly scheduled meetings on the third Tuesday of each month with the exception of the December meeting which is held on the second Tuesday of the month.
