from the Principal: Giles Families, As a reminder, we have no school on Friday, April 18th and Monday, April 21st. I hope everyone enjoys their extended 4-day weekend! As a reminder to our 6th grade families, dental forms are due to Nurse Nelly ASAP. The Illinois State Board of Education deadline is May 15th. If you have not submitted your dental forms yet, please do not delay. If you have any questions, please reach out to Nurse Nelly at ncozzone@norridge80.net. District assessments for iReady and MAP will begin next week. Testing will take the next 3-weeks to complete. The data learned from the assessments will help us prepare your child's schedule for next school year. Congratulations to our Giles Band Program on another successful solo competition. The band students participated in a competition this past Saturday, April 12th at Giles School. The band students did an amazing job! Thank you to Mr. Bucaro for preparing our students for this competition. Enjoy your weekend! Bob Biedke from the Assistant Principal: Students are completing their last district assessments for the 2024-2025 school year. i-Ready is designed to complement what is being taught in the classroom. Your student’s teacher will have information from the Diagnostic that shows where some extra review would be beneficial, which will help the teacher provide the best possible support. Your student will also work on online lessons that bolster the areas of greatest need. Your student’s teacher can see which lessons have been completed and offer help any time your student needs extra support. To help prepare your student for the i-Ready Diagnostic, encourage them to:
